Summer/Holiday Wish List

With pay day coming and my holiday all booked, my thoughts are turning to my holiday essentials that I am ridiculously keen to lay my hands on!!

Footwear is at the front of my mind with these Lattice Sandals from Matalan leading the way, there is currently only two options with black being my favourite but a tan will be available very soon and I'm already planning on snapping those up as well!!

Always a fan of a print trouser these Topshop beauties will be mine! Although they might not be transferable to the winter seasons, my love for these means they will be whipped out the wardrobe year after year!! Throughout the winter my wardrobe stocked up on a lot of black and white items and although the print keeps them light and summery I've gone for the burgundy to make a nice change!!

I know in summer the thought of rain is the last thing everyone wants to be thinking about but lets be honest, this is England and rain is inevitable!! On a mission to find myself a light summer jacket I stumbled across this gorgeous deconstructed trench from Nasty Gal. Just enough coverage to stop me looking like a drowned rat during the summer showers and warm enough during the early summer evening without being too overpowering for the new season!!

I love flowers whether they are in vase, on my head or in this case on my top. This adorable cropped cami from Asos is the perfect summer top. I think cami's are really flattering as their shape is forgiving meaning you can hide all kinds of sins under their material!! I have so many different coloured cami's that I wear throughout the year, throw on a pair of high waisted trousers and a cardi and draft avoided!!

It's no secret that I love a statement necklace from Zara so I am afraid I couldn't resist. I also couldn't chose between two but as they are completely different i thought I would post them both for you to admire anyway!! I do love to wear delicate minimalist pieces at times but I feel statement necklaces are the perfect finishing piece for a powerful outfit!

Another classic forever styling favourite is stripes. Skirt, top or cardi I will wear them any and all which way so you can imagine I was overjoyed when this Sailor skirt from Bershka appeared on my screen. The nautical trend reamerges every summer with images of relaxing aboard a yacht, off the coast of southern france springs to mind.

I hope you've found some inspiration from my summer wishlist and tat your dreaming away the days until the British summer time truly begins! I hope the rain stays away and that you can all enjoy a wardrobe full of summer!!

Blow Me Away

I hope the weather has been as sunny and warm for everyone as it has been down south this last week!! The suns being a bit more shy today though and with the mass of clouds around, the temperature has dropped, and as I'm yet to find my perfect spring/summer jacket (suggestions are very welcome!) for now I'll be sticking to my jumpers!!

I never used to wear my necklaces under collars, but wearing a statement piece with a dress or shirt under a jumper that will hide it, seemed like a bit of a waste, so out they have come!!
