First Impressions: Clinique Skincare

I never used to take an interest in skincare (I hear your gasps), I thought a face wipe, a sweep of toner and a smidge of moisturiser was enough. Yet I still cried when my skin felt like it was slowly dying!

Apart from the occasional intruder, spots were a rare sighting, yet they gradually became more frequent. My skin tone was uneven and red and my pores could practically be seen from space.
I'm using the past tense as although I have only been using these products for a few weeks I can already notice a difference.

It was the most wonderful lady that helped and advised me to go with these products. We chatted to discover what skin type I had and what I felt were my problem areas before she talked me through each product and how they would work on their own and as a collection. I could not fault her service!

-

Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes and Lips is hands down the BEST one I have ever used. I've already caused premature lines over the years around my eyes from excessive rubbing to remove my layers of mascara and eyeliner, yet now not a single rub is needed, the battle is over! Hold it on for a few seconds, swipe and its practically all gone! Take The Day Off Cleansing Milk is also just as powerful and soothing!

-

I was never certain with a makeup wipe that I had removed not only all my makeup but also the daily dirt and grim that builds up on the skin, but this Liquid Facial Soap ensures that I've got it all. Non drying, I'm no longer racing for my moisturiser yet my face still feels squeaky clean.

-

Bursting with salicylic acid, the Clarifying Lotion is the last step on the dirt removal road by breaking down dead skin cells, helping to reduce and prevent the build up of black heads.

-

Super moisturising non greasy lotion, the Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion relieves any tightness my skin might have and leaves a perfect base for makeup to go over!
My only criticism of the whole range is that this moisturiser has a slightly musky smell to it, which isn't offensive in anyway yet isn't as delightful as it could be!

-

I no longer wake up with dry and itchy eyes! Dark circles are an evil I have suffered with all my life and although they are very much still there, thanks to the All About Eyes Rich, they no longer seem to stand out as much as they used to!

Trousers To Wear With Everything

I love a multi functional piece! Although jeans go with absolutely everything, sometimes you want another option, and for me, these trousers are just that!

I wear them with heels, pumps, trainers, jumpers, shirts, camisoles and everything in between!

It's a combination of material, style and fit that puts these on the edge of so many different outfits!

Fashion 'Rules' - Black and Blue

Many times I've heard people say black and blue don't go together, they shouldn't be worn, but I'm not entirely sure why. I happen to think this pairing goes pretty well!

There are so many fashion 'rules'/ 'codes' that were invented in a time when individuality wasn't celebrated as often and in 2016 I think these all need to be shown the door!
It's no longer a faux pas wearing clashing prints or block colours and who cares if you match your bags to your shoes.
Own it and just do you!

Wonder Product: Mac Eyeshadow's

I've had these products for a very long time now. I probably should have done a post on these,m when I first got them and they were looking pretty. But, I didn't know then how versatile they were going to be, and how much of a staple item for my makeup bag they would become!

I visited Mac that day hoping for a solution to the orange toned eyebrow products that haunted me and walked away with two ashy toned shadows, that would soon become the item ,that if I could take one thing to a desert island, I would choose!

Not only did they up my eyebrow game tremendously, but on a daily basis, I also use Omega (left) for contouring and Espresso (right) as eyeliner!

Potentially I could save myself staggering amounts on the unneeded eyeliners and contouring kits!
The shadows are super pigmented so a little goes a long way!
I use these everyday and I've probably had them longer than I should but I'm still not at the bottom!

If you like using only a couple of products or you simply just want something new to try then give these eyeshadow ago!

Holiday in the Sun

This time last week I was in sunny Majorca escaping the rainy British weather.
Soaking up the sun I had to get my shoulders and legs out (minimising tan lines)!

April Wishlist

I've always believed that the right accessories can make or break an outfit so this wishlist has an accessory theme!

'Sculpt Me' Jeans - Asos

I've gone for a darker more 'grungy' feel with the bomber and jeans, to help balance out the feminine tones of the bag, shoes and jewellery..
